Blossom like a flower, in this garden of life.

A young girl, unaccustomed to the bizarre intricacies of life had a heart full of numerous dreams. Audacious and intrepid, ready to explore any venture in life, she walked by a road, looking at the world around her. She relished looking at the new faces around her, trying to figure out what was working in their mind. Each day as she walked past the road, she came across people hurrying past the crowded roads, some with a smile while others with a resent. To her dismay, the number of begrudged faces always far exceeded the number of appeased faces. Each day she used to speculate the reasons for a person's resent. Trying her best to figure out what is the cause of their dissatisfaction. At such tender an age, she couldn't understand the complexities around her. What she was aware of, was just one fact, that she wanted to be something big in life. She wanted to be called an achiever. She wanted all her dreams to be fulfilled. She wished to see everyone blossom like a flower in this garden of life, but she wasn't aware:
If we want to blossom like a flower in this garden of life,
We must learn the art of adjusting our life with thorns.

Time passed by. Now she was a grown up girl, more experienced, more mature. Her heart still full of copious dreams, few accomplished and many lined up. Walking past the same road she now was aware that world is a big rat race. Everyone is running in a marathon with a perpetual attempt to beat the fellow sprinter, ready to add another victory to his name. Her childhood apprehensions were now answered. She now knew the reasons for people's aversion. To survive in this competitive world isn't an easy task. It is an extended endeavor to make one reach the top. This fact is conspicuous to most of the people, but still there are very few people who succeed in their pursuit. Why? And which are these exiguous groups of people? The key to success is possessed by the ones who know how to maintain a balance in their life. Who can handle, all, the situations of failure, struggle and success equally well. Without losing the smile on their face. Who are aware of the fact that the key does not lie in antipathy, it lies in hard-work, in interminable tussle. Who know, I would repeat,
If we want to blossom like a flower in this garden of life,
We must learn the art of adjusting our life with thorns.

Learning from these instances, she had always been an eager beaver, always particular about her records and behaviour. She wanted to be an I.A.S Officer. She worked diligently all the year around. The big day finally came. She appeared in the exam. But destiny didn't favour her, she didn't succeed. But she did not give up. She was determined to succeed in the endeavour of her life and come what may, she has to give wings to her dreams. Another year, she worked very hard. Prepared well throughout the year but when the exam date was near, she met with an accident. It is rightly said- Your destiny rules you. But she still didn't give up. She recovered and started preparing once again. This time even her family and friends didn't support her. But it was for her never say die attitude that her fate had to bend in front of her. She gave her exam this time and came with flying colurs. She now is a reputed Officer and everyone around her to proud of her. She still walks past the same road, but is proud to be one of those very few content people.

That's life!!!

How do you wish to go about it? With a resent or be content? The choice is yours.

Thanks for reading it through. My sole reason for writing this post was to make anyone reading this realize the importance of their life. We should understand that the mighty God has send us with huge potentials, for us, to make the most out of our lives. Rather than being discontented, we should duly try to look for our hidden potentials and use them beneficially. Try to realize the drift of each moment in your life. Give wings to your dreams. Life's a glorious gift, make it's relevance. After all you're one in a million.

With that note, it'd like to sum up, wishing you a wonderful year 2010. May you have a blessed world. See you soon. :)

  8. Read your blog,Its Motivating! Some say what is written is written but I don`t agree with this completely, the girl in your post was determined and was clear about her ambition ,she could have left at second failure taking this as her fate but that was destiny and it was in her hands and she reached her ambition, According to me fate and destiny should not be mixed.
We ask a multitude of questions about our Destiny, but rarely if ever hear or even listen for the answers, for they don't come as a sudden flash of lightening out of a cloud.
Answers can only be heard by getting to know ourselves really well; finding out what we really want and going after it with complete commitment; believing in ourselves and our capabilities, and learning to listen to own intuition - the secret inner Spiritual voice or ourselves - that is trying to show us the way to personal success in life and happiness in our hearts.
Destiny is something we choose to go after.... Fate is something that happens to us, and seemingly takes away our choices, but in fact actually leads us back towards the choice of Destiny we already made before we were born.
According to a french proverb "People often meet their destiny on the road they take to avoid it"
So our Destiny could be classified as our own personal Star and one who has aspiration to reach for the stars WIN!
    keep posting,tc

  9. @Aviral- Thanks a ton avi. :) But the girl is a hypothetical figure, created by me, just to explain the idea of it. It's just that when I write, my ideas obviously match myself more so maybe you could see similarities in this illusory girl and me. Any ways thanks. :)
@Rupu- Thanks sweetheart. Loved your comment absolutely. :)

  11. Hehe ! It sure was motivating Diksha and the subject matter was very powerful :-) Little cliched, but you handled it pretty well ! Kudos to you for managing that. If the grammar Nazi in me has to be really strict on this one, ;-) I would like to give few tips

    1. Resent is actually a verb and there is a slight problem in its usage here :-)
a)"Each day she used to speculate the reasons for a person's resent" bears certain grammatical issues. Would have sounded better had you used the noun form, i.e. "resentment". "Resent" in its pure verb form can be used with "to" . For eg. Each day she used to speculate as to why people resent the ways of the World.
    b) "With a resent or be content" - Same problem :-) You can either use resentment, although "grudge" would have sounded better.

    2) "She now knew the reasons for people's aversion" - Aversion doesn't quite fit here actually. What does ambition make us averse towards? Could you clear this point please? :-)
I hope it helps :-) Although I myself am no pro at grammar , just wanted to share these advices with you :-) Overall, your post is simply awesome ! Keep it up :-)

  13. @Astute- You've made a very interesting point here ! Destiny/destination is like the top of a tree, where we finally have to reach and factors like fate, determination, resilience help us choose the branches for our endeavour. The girl could have given up in the second attempt, but her determination helped her step up and get closer to her destination. You are right in proposing that listening own inner voice can help us unravel the mystery behind the word "destiny" and the point about destiny being our "personal star" is absolutely amazing ! Yes ! It is our own star, but what matters is the road we take to reach up to it, exactly what Diksha has elucidated through this post :-) Fate would always stand in the way of our destination, like roadblocks, but its totally up to us to either stop, grudge and drag ourselves to the destination without any jest or vigour; or optimistically move on with enthusiasm ! Thats what makes our life worthwhile :-) Cheers to Diksha for handling this delicate topic so well :-)

  14. @Vijeta- Thanks a lot for looking into my small small mistakes and correcting them. I'll look into the usage of words more deeply from next time onwards.
Okay now coming to your question-
As I've mentioned in the beginning, she saw numerous faces each day of which only a few were happy(and content because they have achieved what they desired for). Now the word 'aversion' has been used for the other set of people. The ones who have not been able to fulfill their aims because of the lack of hard work, their habit of easily giving up to the circumstances. So the girl now knows the reason for 'their' dislike and unwillingness (aversion) towards their work.So they are not ambitious that is why there is discontent and resentment. okay sweetie? :) Hope I answered it properly. :)

  15. Hehe ! People say I can be a very strict examiner ;-)
Ah ! I get it now :-) Aversion in modern common usage is used for running away due to discontent . Maybe that confused me a bit. But dissatisfaction or malcontentment might do more justice to your thoughts :-) Although averse works fine as well ! Just a thought :-)

  16. @Vijeta- I knew just this ki when I looked up into dictionary for the meaning of destiny, it was fate. Lol. I know it's lame. Okay ma'am, I'll be more particular aage se. :)
@Nemessian- Last one was just an introductory post. Hadn't taken it that seriously. That's why. And thanks. :)

  17. @ambitious-what i know about you is you are AMBITIOUS . I m sorry, I coul not make out your tagline.

@vijeta- thanks for giving your precious views about the comment and your direction towards optimism and enthusiasm is certainly admissible. An optimistic person never feels degraded no matter how many failure he face. Apt description of Ambitious`s hypothetical figure is An optimistic girl having faith and enthusiasm.
